Alf Cooper from Zeehan

At the coffee van outside the museum in Zeehan we struck up a conversation with Alf.

He was explaining how his horse was struggling with the hordes of March flies that have come with the extra hot weather. One thing led to another and he invited us to drop by his house on our way out of town. He has lived in Zeehan for his whole life and and is a true blue local.

It was a wonderful privilege to hear and see how he and his partner, Katie, are finding solutions for how to live a simple and sustainable life in this harsh but beautiful part of Tasmania.
