Where did we go?

Adventures are unpredictable… they sort of have to be! But we had a rough plan.

The journey began on 7 January 2019 from our home in Flowerpot, Tasmania. From there we explored Tasmania until mid-March. For the rest of the year we headed up the eastern inland side of Australia, across the top and down through the middle of Western Australia. From Kalgoorlie we went east across the Nullarbor Plain to Adelaide and then back to Tasmania. We rolled into home on 19 December 2019 after 348 days on the road and 14,000 kilometres in the tyres.

We plotted the journey incrementally on Google Maps as we went. We also added markers to the map that correspond to the location of our reports, where possible.

Tip: if you are on a mobile device and have the Google Maps app installed, you may have difficulty if you tap on the map link. (The Google Maps app tries to open the link in the app instead of the browser.) We suggest you hold your finger on the map link above until the context menu appears, and then select “open in new tab” to make it open in your mobile browser rather than the app.
